Meyer Lemon Curd

The New Year is the start of new beginnings, and I have definitely felt that in the past month or so with new-found interests in Bikram Yoga (also known as Hot Yoga), a reorganizing of life in general, and a true passion for Food Policy/Studies. Who says you have to abstain to a single path in life? One is meant to learn in life from many different experiences, and change can sometimes be a wonderful thing. This is something that I will take to heart this year and apply it to as many aspects of my life as I can deem possible.

So how does this relate to this post, you may ask? Well, take Meyer Lemons for example, you can easily buy lemon curd in a jar from the grocery store, but why not make it at home? And better yet, why not make it from those special Meyer Lemons that are so coveted by chefs and foodies alike in their relatively short season? When I discovered that I was provided with a bounty of them in my weekly organic fruit and produce box, I knew exactly what I was going to do with them – make Meyer Lemon Curd! « Read the rest of this entry »
